The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) held an international industry forum for the I-495 & I-270 Public-Private Partnership (P3) Program on December 13, 2018 at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport Hotel in Linthicum Heights, MD.
The I-495 & I-270 P3 Program will include improvements for over 70 miles of I-495 and I-270 in Maryland. MDOT is currently considering delivering the P3 Program as a series of long-term design-build-finance-operate-maintain revenue risk concessions. Each concession would encompass a portion of the I-495 & I-270 P3 Program and be solicited in phases.
The forum presentation included an overview of the I-495 & I-270 P3 Program, an update on the environmental process, an overview of the upcoming solicitation process for the first phase of the P3 Program, and discussion on opportunities for small, disadvantaged, minority and women-owned businesses.
